In my job, I need to be aware of what is going on in the design world. And the New York Times is often a part of that. Every week when the new Home section comes out, someone in the office will inevitably send one of the stories around to the team.

When this little gem came (from the Great Homes and Destinations section) around a few weeks ago, it took my breath away. And while it’s snowing and sleeting here in New York, its lovely to let the mind wander to Argentina, to a home where the owners kept the best parts of the old and historic home, and added all the amenities and luxuries the modern world has to offer. The best of both worlds. You can read the full story and see all the images here. All photos are by Horacio Paone for The New York Times.
