Vacation via Instagram

Hi friends! I’m baaack! Hope you had a great week. We had a lovely time down in Key West. The vibe is very relaxed, and anything goes. And Miami was just great. I liked it much more than I thought I would! I would love to go back soon! And the trip was a great learning experience all around. Hard to leave, but I was very ready to be back in the city!

 

Here are some highlights, via instagram:

Spent the day at the beach the first day, and had all of my essentials with me – a good book, hat, camera and frozen drinks!

 

 

Also made some time to see the sights. We had the best key lime pie EVER, and I stocked up on custom sandals from this awesome store down there.

 

Me and the bf spent the afternoon at another gorgeous beach, and had some insanely good seafood. Seriously, the best ever. If you’re planning a trip, I’d be happy to give you the name!

 

 

After the week on the laid back islands, it was time to head to Miami for a bit more sun and a night out. It was awesome all around.

Current State of Mind

I’m ready for some fun in the sun! I’m ready for reading magazines in cute swimwear on the beach, I’m ready to get a bit of a tan, I’m ready for fun drinks and a gorgeous view.

Paris vs. New York

I came across the most amazing blog today. Its called Paris vs New York, a tally of two cities. A graphic designer makes the cutest illustrations of quintessentially Paris things versus New York things. The result are illustrations that I want to put in every room of my apartment!

Note – he has a full book coming out at the end of the month, and postcards are out now. Score!

DVF Love

As you know by now, I LOVE DVF. I love her even more after reading this refreshing interview she did with Haper’s Bazaar about love, and love in her life. It is excellent advice for all of us – married, single or somewhere in between.

 

On Target

The Jason Wu for Target look book was released and it looks spectacular! I’ll take one of everything please.

 

Location, Location, Location

Have you seen this video? IKEA built an entire apartment in a Paris Metro station! Its meant to highlight their small-space solutions, and while clever, I’m sure I would not volunteer to have all of my daily routines out in the open for world to see, and I certainly wouldn’t want to live a metro station…

 

Flying High

I came across Flying Junction on etsy and I’m smitten. I love the idea of three subway inspired signs rather than one long one. Perfect for a large wall space.

Fiji Dreaming…

Nashville Y’all

Hi friends. Hope you had a great weekend! I had an awesome time in Nashville – seriously, I would move there tomorrow! So many fun restaurants and stores, and everyone is SO nice! Here are some tidbits from my southern weekend:

Happy Friday! Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend. I’m celebrating the bf’s birthday tonight, and prepping for Thanksgiving next week. Can you believe it came up so quickly!

I needed a new book to read, so I picked up One Day by David Nicholls. I love it so far! It is a sweet story about a relationship, and I can just hear the British accent.

Friday + Favorites

Happy Friday! I for one could not be happier that it is Friday. I was in Charlotte for an event for most of the week. After LOTS of hard work, tt went well and I’m home now safe and sound – minus a taxi accident on the way home from the airport. eek!  One pic from the event below:
